Melbourne Water delivers essential services to enhance life and liveability for the greater Melbourne region delivering these services to the community we have a responsibility to conduct ourselves with the highest level of integrity.
Our Code of Conduct provides clarity and allows us to understand what is expected of us as we go about our day and offers assistance for the situations that we will encounter. I encourage you to make use of it to exercise good judgement. To support the facilitation of this ongoing commitment we have an external disclosure program that empowers you to play an active role in the identification and elimination of fraud, corruption and breaches in our values and ethical framework (the Code of Conduct). This program provides access to Stopline, a confidential and independent external hotline service that is manned by trained investigative staff. Stopline is available to all Melbourne Water employees, contractors and designated stakeholders and translation services can be provided if requested. In addition to Stopline, if you wish to make a disclosure about fraud or corruption and are seeking protection under the Protected Disclosure Act 2012 (Vic), it must be made directly to the Independent Broad based Anti-corruption Commission (IBAC).
We continue to encourage employees to reach out to their managers, supervisors, health and safety representatives, or members of the People & Transformation team for any day to day issues.
